Beautiful Day, Getting Old, Football & Texas Hold'em

The weather here was terrific today. I love when the weather is this warm and sunny in November. This has been a super busy week filled with late nights so, I needed good weather. If I would have woke up to a cold and cloudy day, things wouldn't have been the same. I got up for church with about 15 hours of sleep split over the 3 nights. Shockingly, I felt pretty good. I think I feel better the older I get.
When I arrived at church I saw Jen W. she wasn't looking so hot. She was dragging pretty good. She was ache & feeling old. We'd been playing tons of Texas Hold'em at several bars over the weekend. We had plans to go play poker again tonight. My mom asked her "are you too sick to play poker"? We laughed and told my mom it would take more than a few aches to miss poker. Pathetic, I know.
After Church I came home & took a nap during the Chiefs game. Unfortunately the Chiefs game ran late. This caused the coverage of my Bronco game to get off to a late start. Just as the broadcast of the Bronco game began, they scored. Go Broncos! At half time Trisha arrived and we (Thad, Jen W., Trisha and I) headed out to play poker. The bar where we went to play this afternoon/evening, has 2 sessions on Sundays. The first one starts at 5:30pm with the second one starting at 8:30pm. With it being a work night, we only planned to play the first session. By about half way through the first session, the Broncos had secured the win 31-13. It's always good when my football team wins. I thought for sure this would be a good sign of how lucky I was going to be at poker. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. By the end of the first poker session, Jen W. is the only one still in. She placed 4th out of about 45 people. Thad, Trisha & I began to figured out what to do for dinner while we were waiting for her to finish up. Before she was out, Trisha and I had decided we had to stay for the second session. We're totally addicted. This game is great. It's free and a blast to play! Luckily I have a great boyfriend who wasn't upset we wanted to stay. He decided to go home and play San Andreas on the PS2. That is his addiction. As it turns out all three of us ended up staying for the second session. We all did terrible and got to go home early. Now I must go to bed. I'm hoping for a solid 8 hours so I can get rested up for the poker week ahead. :)
