American Idol -- Final Two

Last night we learned Carrie & Bo will be the final two. I've loved Carrie all season. I also really liked Anthony, Vonzell, and Jessica. I do hope Carrie wins. I think it might be my love of country or that I'm rooting for the Midwest girl. Whatever the case, I love to get my way. :) Anyway, here's my favorite country song right now! I'm hoping it comes true for me. I hope Thad was my last northern star to lead in the right direction.

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through

I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true

Hi Gina. Nice to meet you. Thanks for your comment.
I LOVE country music as I grew up on it here in CA. My father was a country musician and his whole family played something. I loved country and puttin' peanuts in my coke before it was cool, as Barbara Mandrell said.

Did you see the Country awards the other night? Man there is some new great talent. I still love traditional songs though, but really like many of the new bands.

I switched between the CMA's and AI and I have to say, I think Carrie will go far in country music. But, Bo is so damn consistant! He rocked the other night. I loved when Carrie did Sin Wagon by the Dixie Chicks!

Kansas is very beautiful. I used to head to Oklahoma to visit family, until a few years ago, when I started going to see my half brother in Lawrence. He is alum of KU and obsessed.

Anyhow, tonight is the Apprentice and I can't wait to see the finale!

Gina,
Your kind words on my blog ment a lot to me. I can feel your heartache as well. I hope that you will feel the presence of your angels as they walk with you to see the face of God. You are an amazing soul...I can feel it.
